Slow pitch event. This event was invite only.
If you make videos of any kind (or want to get started), let's get together and make new connections!
All skill levels are welcome! No film snobs allowed.
Those with more knowledge and experience should come ready to encourage others. The purpose of this community will be to make connections with others who share our interest in video production (in its many forms).
I hope we leave the meetings with new contacts in the industry, knowledge, inspiration and camaraderie.
Drinks and snacks will be provided.
A wine-tasting competition benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington
Join us for our second annual Uncorked for Kids wine tasting event! We're excited to announce that Vancouver's newest collaborative workspace, CoLab Coworking, will host some of Clark County's greatest supporters for a night of wine, competition, and celebration!
Participants must register their team of 1-4 participants online. Each team brings three bottles of the same wine. Two of these bottles will go into the blind taste-test and one bottle will be added to the “jackpot.”
Guests spend the evening mingling and tasting different wines and then vote on their favorites. We'll have heavy appetizers and music entertainment too! At the end of the night, votes are tallied and the top teams receive divided portions of the jackpot! Last year's winning teams took home more than two cases of wine each!
Interested in volunteering at this event? Send them a message or email Kaitie Swengel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Calling all Squarespacers
Let's get together and see who else in our city is tapping into Squarespace. We are not yet sure how this Meetup will morph as we grow, but we want to see who is interested in networking with other Squarespace specific creatives.
Our first event will be held at CoLab Coworking (technically in Vancouver, WA). We want to make sure we are keeping things fresh with these events, so we will be sure to rotate through different venues. If you have suggestions or know a place that would be interested in hosting for a Meetup, be sure to let us know in the discussions.
Before investing your life savings, asking friends and family for investment or leaving an existing job, there are things every entrepreneur should know about the road ahead. At The Bridge we work with new entrepreneurs every day. This 4-hour workshop reflects what we have learned about the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship and offers practical guidance about how to start a high impact business.
At The Bridge we focus on scalable and high impact businesses as opposed to “Main Street” small businesses. There is often, but not always, a strong element of technological innovation in these businesses. This might involve software development, engineering or even food science. Scalable businesses generally have more significant investment requirements and nationally, if not globally directed strategies.
In this entrepreneurial workshop participants will learn about:
Financing Options – We will outline known and conventional funding sources for Entrepreneurs as well as discuss bootstrapping a startup without any outside funding
The Stages of a startup and what to expect at each stage
IDEA > CONCEPT > COMMIT > VALIDATION > SCALE > ESTABLISHING
Business Model Canvas – This useful framework is a foundational tool for early stage founders to effectively map out all the areas required to make a business successful
This workshop is put on in cooperation with WorkSource and The Bridge. There is a fee of $495 per attendee, but based on eligibility Worksource is offering full scholarships to qualified individuals. Please contact Doreen Englemann at WorkSource WA for details at email@example.com or 360-735-4960.
